The continuation of your Intro Cave Diver Course
If we do not know your training level, a check dive is mandatory to assess your skill level.
Limits:
- Thirds rule for gas / scrubber / BO
- Max 40 msw (deeper with appropriate Trimix certification)
What are the prerequisites to start the Full Mine / Cave Course?
- Required certification:
- IANTD RCCR or OC or RCCR Introductory Mine / Cavediver or equivalent
- IANTD RCCR or OC or RCCR Introductory Mine / Cavediver or equivalent
- Age requirement 18 years
- Basic knowledge of technical diving, buoyancy, trim, and communication at the level of a completed Essential Diver or equivalent.
- Diving experience:
- at least 40 logged dives and 40 hours on the CCR used
- for a crossover from Intro to Cave or Mine (OC) to CCR Cave or Mine, you must have at least 20 logged dives and at least 30 hours on the CCR used
What equipment do I need for the Cave Diver?

One CCR (Inspiration, JJ-CCR, XCCR, or Flex2)
- Cold water equipment
- Own pressure gauge on each cylinder
- Sufficient bailout (thirds rule)
- Primary reel at least 100 meters
- Safety reel at least 30 meters
- 1 Jump Reel, min.
- 2 masks
- Handset, HUD, backup computer
- 2 cutting tools
- 1 main light (spot) and 2 backup lights
- Wetnotes
- at least 5 arrows and 5 personal markers

- IANTD Cave Diver teaching material
What does the Cave Diver course include?
- Academic teaching units (theory)
- Teaching units in confined open water (pool or lake platform)
- Teaching units in overhead environments
How long does the Cave Diver course take?
The course can be completed upon fulfillment of all performance requirements, which depends on the candidate's training level, usually 6 days.
Prerequisites:
For all Tec diving courses, in addition to suitable equipment, you will need the following documents:
Diving medical certificate (not older than 1 year), insurance (DAN, Aquamed etc.)
