The Assistant Instructor is the next step after the Divemaster course. The Assistant Instructor takes on a responsible role in dive training and is a valuable interim step on the way to becoming an Instructor. You will learn to conduct complete course programs from Open Water Diver to Rescue Diver fully under supervision, thus preparing you well for the Instructor course. As an Assistant Instructor, you will learn to independently conduct important parts of the training and can also independently conduct and certify your first courses.
As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you can conduct the programs Peak Performance Buoyancy and Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Seal Team, Bubblemaker, Project AWARE, Coral Reef Conservation, Open Water Diver surface skills
Duration
The AI course is performance-based, the minimum duration is: 3-5 days, plus approx. 2-6 weeks of accompanying training, depending on the appointment.

Prerequisites for participation:
PADI Divemaster or leadership-level certification from another recognized training organization
- 18 years old
- Medical statement not older than 12 months
- EFR not older than 24 months
