The AQOR Backplate is made of high-quality 3 mm V4A stainless steel with a refined surface.
The hole spacing is chosen so that accessories from all well-known manufacturers can also be used on the AQOR Backplate, should this be necessary.
All outer and inner edges and slots are CNC-milled with large, round radii, so that the harness, wing, and other accessories are not worn out by sharp edges.
The slightly inclined edges in the lumbar area ensure a comfortable fit and prevent possible pressure points, even with heavy diving equipment.
The lower slotted hole for mounting the cylinders allows for a certain flexibility in case, for example, the clamp spacing on rented cylinders does not fit exactly. The upper 3 holes for mounting the cylinder allow for quick fine adjustment of the trim by changing the mounting position of the backplate to one of the other holes.
It is recommended to use the middle hole.
Additional slots allow for the direct mounting of cylinder straps for a single cylinder. This means that the backplate can be used in every area of diving.
The AQOR Backplate has all the features that are otherwise only found in higher-priced products.
The AQOR DIR Harness consists of stiff webbing material. We deliberately chose this material because the stiff webbing offers significant advantages compared to soft material.
Firstly, the diving equipment lies much more stably on the back, which positively influences the entire swimming position. Secondly, entering the diving equipment is much easier because the webbing cannot twist as easily or get caught on other equipment as quickly.
The crotch strap is made of soft webbing material.
