suitable for the Tillytec mini uni and Maxi uni and for the Aqor backup lamp short
LiCoNi (Lithium Cobalt Nickel) battery in 21700 USB-C format with integrated charger and power bank and PCB protection.
The battery can be charged via the USB C port, no external charger is required.
Charging time depends on the USB charger used, e.g. with PD 20 Watt, charging time approx. 90-120 minutes.
The battery can also be used as a power bank.
The new LiCoNi technology offers many advantages:
- good safety due to nickel in the cell,
- significantly less space required, with the same power, compared to a 26650 battery,
- nickel tames dangerous cobalt, making the batteries very safe,
- nickel provides good and long storage stability.
The protective circuit protects the battery from overcharging, deep discharge, short circuit, overheating and limits the current. A protective circuit is mandatory.
Li-Ion as well as Li-Polymer can explode due to their cobalt content. Circumstances that can lead to an explosion include temperatures above approx. 70-80 degrees or water ingress into the dive light. Of course, protective circuits are provided, but the past clearly shows that despite these protective circuits, numerous laptops have burned down worldwide, and cell phone batteries and even dive lights have exploded. Who wants to dive with a bomb in their hand? Anyone who wants to see for themselves how explosive such batteries can be should take a look on YouTube.
TIP: We recommend exclusively using LiCoMn/LiCoNi. The use of batteries with other chemistries is at your own risk!
