Cylinder bodies (without valve) are shipped standard with a declaration of conformity and without the so-called commissioning.
Hot-dip galvanized steel cylinders in the "Hot Dipped - Steel Beast" version are particularly suitable for heavy use, such as sidemount diving or use in saltwater. To make this technically possible, high-strength steel is used for manufacturing. The cylinders are immersed in a liquid, hot zinc bath. The zinc forms a metallurgical, solid alloy with the steel, thus protecting the cylinders better against corrosion than any other external treatment can. Hot-dip galvanizing is carried out according to usual industrial standards and results in a sometimes irregular, rough surface structure with various shades of gray and black. The surface consists of excess zinc and may show small grooves, ridges, or scratches. However, these do not affect the excellent corrosion properties of our Steel Beasters.
Hot-dip galvanized cylinders must not be completely painted, and we advise against the use of protective nets.
