You will learn how to assemble diving equipment, how to properly adjust your diving equipment, and how to use it safely. The Open Water Diver (colloquially OWD) allows you to safely dive into a completely new world. To be able to move safely underwater, you will of course need to learn how to position yourself correctly in the water, how to use fins, how to properly weight yourself, and many other things.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo dive safely, you must also learn dive theory. This includes gas laws, what happens to your body underwater, and how long you can stay submerged. With IANTD, you will also continue to learn how to work with dive tables, but of course also how to use a dive computer.
