This program provides the necessary knowledge and skills to dive safely and comfortably without a dive buddy. You will learn more about self-confidence, proper equipment maintenance, and the special considerations and rescue techniques for diving without a buddy. Upon completion of this program, you will receive the SSI - Independent Diving Specialty certification.
The Independent Diving program is not intended to deter you from continuing to practice and enjoy diving as a buddy sport, but rather to prepare you for situations in which you are separated from your dive buddy. Nevertheless, after this very intensive course, you will be able to plan and carry out dives as a solo diver. In the theoretical part, we will discuss the necessary technical requirements and emergency measures and highlight the specifics of dive planning and air management. In the pool, we will carry out safety-relevant exercises with the necessary redundant equipment and simulate emergency situations and the correct behavior in them.
